inside/outside

Hey guys, I hope you're having a great time! Here is another Lithograph in progress using crayon on stone. I am waiting for this to finish etching and am excited to see how the print turns out because the stone shouldn't polarize the image as much as the aluminium plate I used on the last one. While drawing I was trying to imagine the primordial soup and thinking about the similarities between forms inside and outside our bodies. I'm considering adding to the drawing and printing in a 2nd color so let me know if you have any suggestions!

For these monotypes I designed the egg shape using adobe illustrator and had it commercially cut from copper sheet. The egg is approx 21x15 inches and lots of fun to work on... more to come soon!
