In August 2012 I spent 9 days exploring the depths of the Grand Canyon a place that has inspired wonder in countless artists and travellers before me. The mighty Colorado River cut my path between the majestic, seemingly insurmountable, canyon walls that constantly framed my field of vision and, for a time, defined my world. It is the memory of these walls and their visually dynamic form and structure that I am continuing to explore through my new body of work, including this series of 3 lithographs.

I'm very much looking forward to my quickly approaching exhibition at Port Jackson Press Print Room. If you happen to be in Melbourne during the month of May you will have the opportunity to see these new lithographs inspired by the Grand Canyon displayed alongside my prints responding to the landscape of the Spanish Pyrenees, which were exhibited in Canberra last year. I will be visiting Melbourne to give an artist talk on Saturday May 18th and would really love to see you there!
